Why Free?
I?m new to Ottawa and I would like to grow my contacts and network for my music. I?m a pre-med student at U of T and I would like to help my family pay for my education. My university experience has been more than scholastic and indeed I feel a responsibility to aid my family who have sacrificed much for me and my brother.
I usually receive $50 - $150 dollars an hour but I am willing to pay my dues to become well known in the GTA. I?m not only a gifted classical piano player, I love to meet guests and select music that enriches an event. I have won numerous top pianist awards from regional, provincial and national level piano competitions. I have perfect pitch and can play music by ear. Popular music requests without the music score are always welcome.
If you have an event that is not for profit or is for a significant organization or group, I would be willing to play the event free of charge with a nominal fee or honorarium to cover transportation etc. with the understanding that I would have my business cards at the piano and distributed with the event?s literature. I wouldn?t mind a smaller private event or wedding if again I can include my website and distribute my business cards to guests.
Above all, I would be looking for your help in getting my name out to the music loving community. There are still students that believe in hard work and starting small to grow big.
